Frequently Asked Questions
To be sure, we all enjoy a good deal, or at least the majority of us who fall into the "ordinary folk" category. When it comes to receiving savings on digital gadgets and accessories, there is no better place to look than online. Lenovo has teamed up with ID.me to offer some fantastic discount packages to our customers.
We are talking about discounts programs targeted at health professionals, first responders, senior citizens, students, and teachers.
Enticing deals will help save on much-needed cash for teacher discounts on laptops. Similarly, high school students will benefit immensely from the high school student discounts.
Lenovo is a well-recognized and respected computer brand. Two of its popular laptop models, IdeaPad and ThinkPad, are household names. No wonder most people would want to get their products at a discount.
But I bet you would like to know how their discount program works? Who does the discount program target? What are the criteria for eligibility?
Don't be concerned; we'll walk you through the process, especially if you fall into one of the categories mentioned above. While each discount category has specific requirements, let's run on the basics to help you get a clear picture of what this entails.
Lenovo partnered with ID.me to facilitate these discount programs. ID.me is an identity company network that allows users to prove their legal identity online. The company allows users to verify their identity to access the discounts in Lenovo's case.
ID.me offers new age, highly advanced security and protection services for buyers willing to substantiate their eligibility in the program.
Without further ado, let's dive into the various discount programs offered by Lenovo.
Lenovo has criteria for its student program. This program is only open to college students above 18 years. College students below 18 years will have to wait till they get to that age.
Unfortunately, primary and high school students won't be getting high school discounts. Still, it's good to know that the college student must be actively enrolled in a college of choice. It can be any of the following:
● College
● Technical College
● University
● Community College
If you qualify for the Lenovo discount on laptops, you are eligible for a five to twenty percent discount. Lenovo college discounts on laptops extend to some of Lenovo's recognized models, the think pad and Idea pad. Not only those models, but you can also select a host of other products, including yoga laptops, IdeaCentre desktops, legion laptops, desktops, etc.
For student verification, as stated earlier, Lenovo uses ID.me. The network will verify your enrollment in community college, university, technical college, or junior college. If the ID.me network cannot verify your enrollment, you'll have to upload your legal documentation on the platform.
Of course, before you can access the discounts on electronics, you must create an account on ID.me. One excellent thing about signing up on the platform is that you can use the service on sites that use ID.me.
ID.me platform has been designed to verify government employees, first responders, teachers, and students.
Still, teachers can get teacher discounts electronics from Lenovo. Which categories of teachers can access this discount program? Active certified teachers, active certified teach assistants, active certified teachers aides, active certified educational assistants, public, private, or charter school principals, and speech pathologists.
One of the most frequently asked questions is whether people can still access the laptop discounts once they graduate. The answer is no; the program is only eligible to students enrolled in any institution highlighted previously. Students can benefit from best teacher discounts
First responder discounts on laptops is open to a plethora of professionals categorized as first responders.
You can confirm your eligibility as a first responder on the ID.me list. Lenovo offers good discounts on computers, which means that your computer doesn't have to be costly. The same process used to verify students eligibility is the same that first responders use.
Therefore, if you do not have an account with ID.me, you need to create one to allow for your verification.
If you are a nurse, first responder, or medical doctor, you verify for this discount. Lenovo offers some healthcare-centered laptops. You can choose one of the laptops, such as the T90 /Secure access/Healthcare edition of the Lenovo X1 ThinkPad Carbon or ThinkPad.
While this discount program is not open to everyone, it's more reason why you should take advantage of it for that lucrative discount.
The good thing is that Lenovo has placed a verification button that leads to the ID.me network. The verification process is done once, and you can still access discounts on future purchases. You get to access all the products covered by the discounts through verification.
Gone are the days when only the young people working in offices used to own laptops or fancy computers. Today, there's a computer or a laptop in almost every home, and many seniors are using them too.
There are discounts available for seniors at many different retail or service stores and businesses, but did you know that some tech companies also offer discounts on their products and services specifically for seniors? For example, Lenovo provides senior discounts to shoppers over 50.
If you're 50 or above, you can get 5% off Lenovo's online products. You have to add your product to the cart, verify your age with your ID, and get a discount. Besides the 5% discount, you also get free shopping on all your orders, except clearance sales and doorbusters.
