TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) is a location-based certification. It is primarily required by the automotive industry in order to conduct business. As the name suggests, it is related to Information Security such as the secure processing of information, the protection of prototypes (where applicable), physical security measures, and data protection in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for potential business transactions between automobile manufacturers and their service providers or suppliers. TISAX has some additional requirements to be satisfied beyond those in an ISO27001 certification.

TISAX is administered by the ENX Association on behalf of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (Verband der Automobilindustrie, VDA).
