Born and raised in a one-bedroom flat in north London, Daze’s love of the natural world grew when she left behind a violent father and moved to rural Lincolnshire.
On returning to London at the age of 16, the stark realities of climate change hit home, when she began to suffer from asthma and skin conditions.
Two years ago, however, all that changed when she won a place at Goldsmiths University. Meeting like-minded people helped Daze channel her anger into campaigning, collaborating with hundreds of campaign groups around the world.
An eloquent and passionate climate advocate, she has set her sights on opening up the political system for the next generation. The first tilt at politics as the youngest candidate to run for European Parliament, it ended in defeat but her ambitions are undimmed.
Daze wants to show other young people from diverse backgrounds that they can take a stand, seize their moment and make a positive difference.
