Regulatory Compliance
ENERGY STAR Certification
ENERGY STAR® is a voluntary program managed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy that certifies products for energy efficiency. The ENERGY STAR label can be found on more than 75 different product categories. Manufacturers must have their products tested in an EPA-recognized laboratory and reviewed by an EPA-recognized certification body before they can affix the ENERGY STAR label. Additionally, a percentage of ENERGY STAR-certified products in each category undergo off-the-shelf verification testing each year.
