Overview

System overheating issues cause shutdowns, slower performance, and data loss if allowed to accumulate. Lenovo Neptune™ tackles this problem by using liquid to remove heat, which is much more efficient than traditional air cooling.

Neptune's holistic approach to liquid cooling goes beyond simply cooling the CPUs. It includes:

  • Rack rear door water cooling
  • Direct water cooling to each node
  • Liquid-assisted cooling for the benefits of liquid in an air-cooled system
  • Energy Aware Runtime (EAR) and XClarity Energy Manager software to optimize performance and power
