Striving for more climate-friendly operations
Bertelsmann is a global media, services, and education company with 145,000 employees. Taking responsibility in the battle against climate change, Bertelsmann has set itself an ambitious environmental goal: to be climate neutral by 2030. With this in mind, the company engaged Lenovo Sustainability Services.
Having chosen Lenovo’s innovative CO2 Offset Service for all new ThinkCentre and ThinkPad devices, Bertelsmann extended the service to its large installed base of Lenovo endpoints. As a result, Bertelsmann has already successfully offset around 38,000 metric tons of carbon emissions—and counting. Following a Lenovo Sustainability Solutions Workshop, the two companies continue to work on initiatives to further manage Bertelsmann’s carbon footprint.
